The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program prepares students for entry-level professional practice positions. You can apply to the BSN program if you have not completed an associate degree or diploma in nursing. The application deadline is January 15, 2015.

Please read all of the instructions below before submitting your nursing application.

Please ensure that you meet the admission requirements and will complete all the prerequisite courses below by the end of spring semester of the application year.  Below are resources that you can use to determine if the courses you have taken (or will schedule) are equivalent to Nursing’s prerequisite courses.  NOTE:  The College of Nursing does NOT accept courses that transfer in to Ohio State as General, Special or Technical. (Applies to most credit from out-of-state-schools.)  These courses would need further evaluation by the Transfer Credit Coordinator in the subject department.   The College of Nursing will not notify applicants of unmet prerequisite courses; these applicants will not be considered for admission.

Current Ohio State students:  (to view your Advising Report or run a Degree Audit.  Resolve any General, Special, or Technical credit issues by contacting the Transfer Credit Coordinator via the link below.)

Prospective applicants attending another college in Ohio: or

Prospective applicants attending a school outside of Ohio:  submit a Prerequisite Evaluation Request

If you cannot find your college through the links above, you may request a Prerequisite Evaluation 1-2 months prior to submitting your application.  Prerequisite Evaluation Request Form

If you find that your course(s) would transfer in to Ohio State as General, Special, or Technical, please open this link and follow the directions to have your course(s) evaluated to determine course equivalency.  We recommend that you contact the subject department early as the re-evaluation process may take several weeks.  The results of the credit re-evaluation should be sent to:

Department Transfer Coordinators

You may contact the Graduate and Professional Admissions office any time after you apply to know the result of our evaluation of your pre-requisite coursework.

The RN to BSN program provides a baccalaureate nursing degree for registered nurses who are graduates of associate degree and diploma nursing programs. The application deadline is September 30, 2015 .
