How To Apply
   
  Applications

The Health and Rehabilitation Sciences application is to be used by:
  • current or former Ohio State students, or
  • students completing prerequisite courses elsewhere who hope to be admitted directly to professional study in Health and Rehabilitation Sciences at Ohio State.
The Health and Rehabilitation Sciences application is NOT appropriate for:
  • those who have never attended college, or
  • transfer students who plan to complete prerequisite courses at Ohio State
    before entering the professional program.

Applications for the 2015 Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Programs will be available on September 2 for those who will matriculate in Autumn 2015. Please be advised of each program's application deadline listed in the Applications & Deadlines section below.

Applications & Deadlines
   
  Click on your program of choice to access the program's online application.

If you are applying to more than one program (you may apply to as many as three), a separate application is required for each. The application period for all programs opens September 2 each year. The application deadlines for each program are listed below.


SELECT APPLICATION


Choose the application that applies to you:
  • Current Ohio State students and former Ohio State students whose last semester of enrollment at Ohio State was less than three semesters from the current semester may complete this application.
  • Non-Ohio State students and Ohio State students whose last semester of enrollment was more than three semesters from the current semester must create an account before completing the application.
  • those who have never attended college, or transfer students who plan to complete prerequisite courses at Ohio State before entering the professional program should apply at undergrad.osu.edu

Admission Criteria
   
  For all Health and Rehabilitation Sciences

Admission to each of the programs within the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences is selective. Although the criteria vary by program, most applicants are evaluated on the basis of:

  • Completion of prerequisite courses
  • Grades received in prerequisite college courses as well as overall GPA
  • Knowledge of the profession as demonstrated in the personal statement and the professional experience record
  • Interview (if required by the program)

Applicants are encouraged to check their program of interest's website for specific criteria.

Costs/Fees/Deposits
   
  Costs

University tuition and fees includes general and instructional tuition; activity, COTA, recreation and learning fees and may be found at registrar.osu.edu/FeeTables/mainfeetables.asp.

Application fee (non refundable)

No application fee is required if you are or have ever been an enrolled undergraduate student at Ohio State.

Domestic - $60

International - $70

Only one fee is required even if you apply to multiple Health and Rehabilitation Sciences programs.


Acceptance fee (non refundable)

$100 non-refundable acceptance fee is required of new students to OSU and OSU students who are being admitted to a degree granting college at OSU for the first time.

English Language Requirement
   
  International applicants from non-English speaking countries are required to fulfill the TOEFL, MELAB or IELTS requirement. If your native language is not English, you should possess a minimum level of English proficiency as follows:
  • TOEFL (English as a Foreign Language)
    • 550 (Paper-based test)
    • 79 (Internet-based test)
  • OR

  • MELAB (Michigan Language Assessment Battery)
    • 79

    OR

  • IELTS (International English Language Testing System)
    • 6.5
